An incredible night of harness racing takes place Saturday (June 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park led by the C$1 million North America Cup for 3-yr-old pacing

The Canadian-based trio of Captains Quarters, Funtime Bayama and Nijinsky were victorious in last week's North America Cup eliminations and have taken over the top three spots in Dave Little's Week 7 edition of the Road to The Meadowlands Pace.

Captains Quarters and Total Stranger might have been different when they were growing up together as young horses, but on Saturday, June 15, the three-year-old colt pacers will find themselves in the same place, competing in the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup at Woodbine Mohawk Park, with the chance to bring home a third trophy for their family.

As the calendar turns to June this Saturday, stakes action ramps up in a major way at Woodbine Mohawk Park on June 1 with divisions of the Somebeachsomewhere for three-year-old male pacers, the opening leg of the Graduate Series for four-year-olds, and a leg of the Miss Versatility Series for trotting mares.

With the date for the 2024 Pepsi North America Cup eliminations just over a week away, many of the three-year-old pacers aiming for Canadian harness racing's biggest prize have made on-track appearances and statements as they stake their claim for divisional dominance.
