An event Friday morning was held to remember Tyre Sampson, the teenager who died last year when he fell off an attraction at Orlando’s ICON Park, News4JAX sister station WKMG ClickOrlando reports.

Nekia Dodd arrived at ICON Park on Wednesday to watch the FreeFall ride be demolished after her son Tyre Sampson died after falling off the ride in March 2022.
Tyre Sampson, 14, was almost 100 pounds over the rides 287-pound weight limit when he was thrown from the 430ft Orlando FreeFall ride at the ICON Park, in March 2022.
Evidence continues to mount exposing possible irregularities and recklessness in the ride’s operation and manufacturing.
