Cronkeyshaw Common from Further Heights Road A group of residents have formed a new Friends group to promote, protect and enhance green spaces in Syke and Cronkeyshaw. The group was founded at a meeting in March when 10 residents, supported by two ward councillors, came together to discuss ways of maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of the area. At the meeting, the new friends agreed the scope would include Limersgate from Iron Waters Bridge to the common and across the common to Heights Lane.
