Farmers market returns to downtown Birmingham Sunday

BIRMINGHAM A lot of Birmingham’s spring traditions have been canceled for a second year amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
But one of them, the Birmingham Farmers Market, will be back this weekend with a little taste of normalcy for shoppers.
The market will be back in Public Parking Lot 6 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays beginning May 2. New vendors and old favorites will be back to sell locally grown produce, meat and dairy products, artisan baked goods, fresh foods, and more.
Last year, the market opened in a drive-thru format. Guests visited booths in their vehicles and purchased pre-packaged bunches of goods. ....
