According to the data, the TMC, led by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, received Rs 1,610 crore through electoral bonds from 211 donors between April 12, 2019 and January 24, 2024.
Total bonds bought by these 26 companies from April 2019 till February 2024 is Rs 5,179 crore; BJP enchased 37%, TMC 18%, Congress 12%.
BJP took away the major share of this amount --- more than half --- at Rs 6,058 crore. The next in the list was TMC with Rs 1,609 crore. Little behind was the Congress at Rs 1,421 crore
Future Gaming also donated Rs 149 crore to YSRCP after AP government set up a committee to consider lifting the ban on lotteries and casinos in the state.
Authorities have also not publicly announced whether investigations against donor companies have been closed or withdrawn.
