After years of conservation work on the moors, local people are invited to a special online event to see how work is progressing to improve the uplands and river catchments surrounding nearby Marsden, Meltham and Holmfirth.
Work including planting moss and native trees, using natural materials to reduce flood risk and removing invasive species have all had a big impact on the landscape.
The work is part of the ‘Our Future Landscapes Strategy’, created following a public consultation event in March 2019, attended by over 100 residents. ....
