The average daily turnover in the equity cash segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) experienced a notable decline of 13.33 percent Month on Month (MoM), reaching ₹1.02 lakh crore. This decline marked the most significant drop since October 2023.
The analysis of BSE500 index suggests that 20 stocks were able to triple investors wealth or better to say delivered up to 200 per cent returns to the investors.
BSE was the top gainer in the Nifty500 index, soaring 521 percent, followed by IRFC and Suzlon Energy, which skyrocketed 462 percent and 444 percent, respectively.
Indian state-owned companies stocks surged in FY24, outperforming mid- and small-cap stocks. BSE PSU index nearly doubled, boosted by govt s capex spending hike and anticipated BJP victory. Railway, power, defence, and oil sectors also showed impressive gains.
