Now a new report reveals that PM Narendra Modi will officially launch the 5G network at the inauguration of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) on September 29.
5G deployment will start in 20 to 25 cities and towns, according to IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The cabinet said that the 5G spectrum auction will be held by the end of July. The auction is expected to see participation from the three main carriers in the country including -- Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel, and Reliance Jio.
