The Antilles renews call for traffic signal after fatal U.S. 1 crash
View Comments INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Residents of The Antilles community had long feared the worst: someone being killed in a car crash outside their entrance, across from the intersection of U.S. 1 and 65th Street. For years they've pleaded with the state for a traffic signal. The worst-case scenario happened April 13, when a red 2011 Kia sedan pulled out of the The Antilles and attempted to cross the northbound U.S. 1 lanes to turn south.
