NEWTON, MA Longtime Newton resident Audrey Cooper, known for helping to establish early childcare and after school programs at the local nonprofit Family ACCESS of Newton and helping the effort to establish a Senior Center in Newton, died May 22 at her home in West Newton. She was 97.
Cooper, an active member of the community was described in her obituary as a Newton Pioneer, She served a number of roles in the city where she and her late husband David lived for more than seven decades, according to her obituary. ....
