A former hotel in Canada’s Nova Scotia has been saved from demolition and moved using an unusual method – hundreds of bars of soap.
A construction firm successfully relocated a former hotel in Nova Scotia using 700 bars of soap.
The building, initially established as a house in 1826 and later converted into the Victorian Elmwood Hotel in 1896, narrowly escaped demolition in 2018.
Two excavators and a tow truck, in tandem with Ivory soaps, allowed the Elmwood building to glide across a steel frame.
