A guaranteed maximum price of $47,070,726 for bond items was approved by Jacksboro ISD board members during a special board meeting Thursday, March 28. The price was below the $47.5 million approved by voters during the May 2023 bond issue.
Construction bids for the bond project are now being accepted after the Jacksboro ISD board approved moving forward during the Monday, Feb. 12 meeting.
With the approval of the Jacksboro ISD bond issue last month, district officials are wasting no time in getting work done. JISD Superintendent Brad Burnett and other district officials met with Morgan Architects and Gallagher Construction Services in late May to discuss a timeline for what would happen.
