Letters to the editor for Jan. 22, 2021 Ocala Star-Banner The era of Trump is over I would take exception to the myth, in my view, of President Donald Trump's base and his power to coerce them to follow his command. He won the 2016 election against a flawed candidate, but he lost the popular vote. The Republicans lost control of the House in 2018. He backed the losing candidate in a special Alabama election to the Democrat Doug Jones. He lost the presidential election in November while other down-ballot Republican candidates still won in spite of his loss. And now in the run-off Georgia Senat...
