Gaston County Police have named a suspect in a double homicide that took place Monday night in the Crowders Mountain area.
Police say they charged Jordan Cameron Moses, 29, of 1411 Gaston Way, Dallas, with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon on Thursday. Moses is considered armed and dangerous. The public is cautioned not to interact with Moses. Instead they are encouraged to contact 911, Gaston County Police stated in a press release.
Gaston County Police were called to 2410 Woodleaf Drive west of Gastonia around 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22.
Gaston County Police are asking the public for help in locating a runaway teenager.
Emily Avelar-Guttierez, 14, was last seen leaving her house along Camp Rotary Road, which is near Crowders Mountain State Park.
Avelar-Guttierez is 5-feet 3-inches tall, 130 pounds and Hispanic. She has brown eyes and dark-colored hair.
