Sound counterintuitive to call airlines still but doing that little bit of due diligence can pay off. arthel: that sound fantastic. what about getting a good seat. flying to japan you don't want to get stuck in the middle seat. get good seats. >> absolutely. air fares are not skyrocketing thanks to low oil. but what we're seeing airlines are charging for best seats in coach. you do sometimes have to pay. you can pay in advance, 20 to $100 to get exit row seat but get twice the leg room it can absolutely be worth it. if you're cheap and don't want to pay recommend checking in exactly 24 hours. ...
