Robert Earl âBobâ Leathers, Jr. Robert Earl “Bob” Leathers, Jr., 62, took the hands of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and entered into heavenly rest on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. Born on Oct. 30, 1958, in Lock Haven, he was the son of Gertrude (Lynch) Leathers of Salona and the late Robert E. Leathers, Sr. On June 13, 1980, he married Debra A. Vermeulen who survives at home. Bob was a 1977 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. He entered the United States Air Force in August 1977 and retired in 1997 after 20 years of service. He earned the rank of TSGT and earned a BS in nursing and master’s degree in aerospace physiology while serving. He held several positions in the Air Force, like the Independent Duty Medical Technician. He retired as the Non Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of The Surgery Clinic at Travis AFB, Calif. ....
