Do not let yourselves get deceived by the pack cover of the cannabis-infused food and beverage products Jakarta (ANTARA) - Amid reports of drug syndicates lacing instant food and beverages with marijuana to get children addicted to the narcotic, South Jakarta police have urged parents in the capital city to exercise care while buying packaged products.
"Please stay alert. Do not let yourselves get deceived by the pack cover of the cannabis-infused food and beverage products," South Jakarta Metropolitan Police chief, Sen.Coms. Budi Sartono, was quoted by ANTARA as saying here on Wednesday.

Kendari, SE Sulawesi (ANTARA) - Southeast Sulawesi police officers arrested a man, only identified as R, 32, on Monday morning, for possession of a 1.6-kilogram package of marijuana he received from an unidentified person in Medan, North Sumatra Province’s capital.
The suspect was apprehended at his rented house in the Kendari Barat neighborhood area at around 10:29 a.m. local time, Chief of the Southeast Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate Sen. Coms. Muhammad Eka Faturrahman stated in Kendari City on Monday.
The drug package was delivered to the suspect through a courier service and logistics company, he remarked, adding that the police were able to act effectively to thwart this drug crime owing to a tip-off recently received from residents.

Banda Aceh, Aceh (ANTARA) - Aceh police seized a huge cache of drugs this year in numerous raids, which shows drug-trafficking remains a serious threat in the province, with the youth remaining particularly vulnerable to drug abuse, said officials.
The provincial police seized 469.5 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 1,579 kg of marijuana, and 138 thousand ecstasy pills in raids conducted between early January to mid-December, 2020, and arrested 2,144 drug offenders in connection with 1,025 cases, Aceh Police chief, Insp.Gen.Wahyu Widada, revealed here on Wednesday.

Medan, N Sumatra (ANTARA) - Two men were caught while trying to smuggle a package containing drugs into Medan City police's detention center on Monday.
The suspects, identified as Ferry Firmansyah (35) and Fatan Samudra (17), had concealed crystal methamphetamine inside a wrapped rice pack, police said here on Tuesday.
Police officers found the drugs while conducting a body search, during which they also checked inside the wrapped rice pack.
