Lebanon moves to ban 'Barbie' film for 'promoting homosexuality'; Kuwait follows suit

Lebanon's Culture Minister, Mohammad Mortada, has banned the movie 'Barbie' from cinemas for promoting homosexuality and contradicting religious values. Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi has requested that General Security, responsible for censorship decisions, review the film and make its recommendation. Following Lebanon, Kuwait has also banned 'Barbie' and the horror film 'Talk to Me' to safeguard "public ethics and social traditions".
