Derby Police Chief Gerald Narowski said the department has settled on a vendor but would need $120,000 to pay for the technology. Andrew Baklik is the city’s chief of staff. 1:31 State police are investigating a shooting involving a Derby police officer that took place early Monday morning.  The officer was on patrol and stopped at a red light, on the border between Derby and Ansonia. Two young men —one a minor — approached his car looking for help. According to state police, they began pounding on the car windows.
