A year after a convicted felon brutally beat a woman to death inside a Venice motel room, he was found incompetent to stand trial, stalling the case against him.
Havrilka, who has 19 felony convictions, remains in custody at the Sarasota County Jail without bail. The case remains under investigation. The text on the GoFundMe page he set up simply read: “On Tuesday April 20, 2021 my beautiful wife was murdered by an unstable person while she was at work.
