The damage to Park Road last February Main repairs to a key local route are expected to begin in May. Park Road, which links Elland and Brighouse, was severely damaged by flooding in February 2020 and following the landslip has been closed since. Around £1.8 million towards the cost of repairing Park Road, which links Brighouse and Elland, is expected to be funded from the Getting Building fund, administered by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, of which Calderdale Council is a member.
