Samuel Garcia, a sophomore Roan Scholar at East Tennessee State University, was recently named a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Gilman International Scholarships from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. OWU students earning competitive Gilman Scholarships this spring and fall are sophomore Jeremiah Anderson of Dayton, Ohio; senior Miko Harper of Sandy Springs, Georgia; and senior Megha Malik of Dublin, Ohio.
