The man, 48, who can’t be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to contravening a domestic violence order. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of the man’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On March 10, about 7.35am, police from Tannum Sands were tasked to attend an address on Yakuna St, Boyne Island, in relation to a domestic violence incident. The man, 40, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to contravening a domestic violence order (aggravated offence). On March 18, police were called to a unit on Ballantine St, Clinton, in relation to a loud domestic argument between a man and a woman. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to contravening a domestic violence order and driving under the influence of liquor.
