New information has been released Monday by the St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office in connection with a shooting at a child's birthday party in Laplace over the weekend. The sheriff said the shooting happened Saturday during a 12-year-old's birthday party. The incident happened in the 600 block of Golf View Drive.
