Google is reportedly laying off hundreds of employees from its recruiting team globally due to a decrease in demand. The company has not confirmed the exact number of people affected. The decision was communicated by Brian Ong, Google's recruiting vice president, who stated that it was a difficult decision and not one that anyone wanted to discuss again this year. In January, Google had announced plans to cut 12,000 jobs, affecting around 6% of its workforce.
