An all-star array of Atlanta trumpet players will gather Sunday at Kopleff Hall to pay tribute to jazz great Kenny Dorham.
Jews and Jazz III. This virtual concert experience features trumpeter Dr. Gordon Vernick along with special guest vocalist Rita Graham and pianist Kevin Bales. In addition to the music, Dr. Vernick tells stories about the significant role Jews played in the Jazz World. Listeners will learn more about the contribution of Jewish composers, producers, performers, writers and entreprenuers. This FREE event is part of the museum's current exhibition A Jazz Memoir: Photography by Herb Snitzer.
