Noida: The district on Thursday received its first batch of six vials of liposomal amphotericin B, the antifungal drug used to treat mucormycosis or black fungus. The vials have been sent to the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida, where two patients are being treated for the infection.
As of now, there are 19 patients admitted to various hospitals in Noida for mucormycosis. All of them have placed requests for the antifungal drug. “The first batch of the drug has arrived. More doses are likely to reach the city over the next few days,” said Deepak Ohri, the chief medical officer. On May 18, KK Gupta, the director-general of the medical education department, had issued an order regarding the allotment of vials to districts where cases of black fungus have been reported.

HCL Extends COVID-19 Mitigation Outreach to UP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Other States

New Delhi: HCL has extended its COVID-19 mitigation efforts across the country to include Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other states.
 
These efforts include a 100 bedded COVID treatment facility (including 50 oxygen beds) at Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida. In Lucknow, HCL has provided six ICU ventilators, 20 oxygen beds and a mini oxygen generator plant (capacity of 45 LPM) to the Fatima Hospital. In addition to these, HCL is supporting with essential equipment and consumables at an L-1 COVID Care Facility, as well as the District Hospital in Hardoi. A 24×7 Integrated Control Centre set up and supported by HCL at Gautam Buddha Nagar during the first wave, continues to respond to citizen queries in the wake of the second wave of the pandemic.

New Delhi, May 17 : Tech Mahindra on Monday announced its support to #OxygenForIndia, a volunteer-run organisation, to deploy 3,000 oxygen concentrators and 40,000 oxygen cylinders to help resolve the oxygen crisis in India.
#OxygenForIndia is a campaign put together by the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy (CDDEP), and is aimed at delivering oxygen cylinders to those in need, and especially those who may have difficulty in being admitted to a hospital due to financial constraints.
As part of the partnership, Tech Mahindra will provide its leading technological and functional expertise to digitally support the campaign by enabling their supply chain applications and streamlining operations with RFD ID (Radio-frequency identification) tracking. Additionally, the partnership will also utilise the operational capabilities of Mahindra Logistics and leverage the Mahindra ecosystem of suppliers, customers, partners, and associates for funding to aid the campaign.

New Delhi, May 14 : Digital healthcare platform MediBuddy has tied up with more than 350 top hospitals across 130 cities to strengthen the vaccine rollout across the country, the company said on Friday.
The company will lend its full support to state governments administering vaccination drives in cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Noida, and Kochi.
MediBuddy will also facilitate vaccinations for over 700 corporate houses that support 15 million employees and their dependents at vaccination camps which can be set either in their office or at any MediBuddy partnered hospital.

Amidst the surge in COVID-19 cases in Delhi, IT company HCL has stepped up its efforts and is providing assistance to 500 hospital beds in Delhi-NCR region.
"...HCL's support includes assistance in the form of more than 500 hospital beds at various facilities such as the Commonwealth Games (CWG) village, Holy Family Hospital, Sama Hospital and Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi; and Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida Authority," the company said in a statement.
