The luxury market on fire. is that a good or bad thing? i mean, they aren t homeowners and have the money to spend, perhaps, or do they really have that money? they do have the money. and, they haven t been hit by the housing bust. which is one of the reasons. but, you know, maybe they are living at home, maybe they are renting. but they are buying the luxury things and what is interesting about the story. it is a little bit confusing. because, rich people actually are spending on luxury goods and they are buying things for themselves. not just presents. i mean, we saw the luxury market was up some 9% in december alone, year-over-year. so, rich people are spending. it is just that these aspirationals are taking up a bigger part of the market share. so, there are more people buying the little blue boxes. and are the little blue boxes we love. don t we love them! yes. but are aspirationals the same ....
