Injury or loss of life. and i know that. my family knows that. that s when i leave the house each morning, going into work in a school, i know that. this is part of the job. and as a dad myself, i m looking at each of my students as one of my own children. and you have to. you have to take some sort of ownership. and there are so many kids now who are living in this lockdown mode they ve been traumatized. even the kids not impacted by a school shooting. you interact with these kids. what is that like for them? absolutely. i have an eighth grader myself and she s affected by that. and it is sad that this is the world that our children are ....

Contested challenges, the national spelling bee, has wrapped up. this is the winneer dev shah, age 14, who outlasted more than 200 other competitors, finishing in first place by spelling this word correctly psammophile , which means a plant or animal that thrives in sandy areas. as the winner, dev, an eighth grader, receives a $50,000 prize, a medal and a trophy. and of course plenty of bragging rights. today was the climax of a three day competition between the brightest 11 spellers in the us and our reporter riley farrell went along to meet the voice of the contest jacques bailly. so the spelling bee has this devoted following. and i was wondering, what is it about the spelling bee that captures the imagination? well, i think it s the age of the kids. we ve all been there and they re alljust so super cute and so, like, right on the edge of doing things with their lives. also, we all use the english language every day, and yet there are whole reaches of it ....

That school. at early as 4 years old. teachers were telling students that boys could win dresses even when a little girl said- brian: unbelievable. yes. jonathan boys can t wear dresses. the teacher turned her head and said that is not true. boys can wear dresses. and the 4-year-olds. my son was 6. he was upstairs as a first grader and they wanted me to read books two men are a family. two men can be married. two men can have a baby. and that is when i gave my notice. and my son was the projection for me was and i m a teacher. this is the cost. i said can i afford to pay in my tax dollars and this is collectively you and i and everyone else are collectively paying this for every baltimore city public school student 25,000 for the nonsense. so i pulled him out. he is doing wonderful. he is in fourth grade. ....
