House in Cornwall breaches 'so many conditions' in Marazion

Planning permission was first granted for the property and annexe in North Street in Marazion in 2018.
When the plans were approved a number of conditions were put on the permission to ensure that the house was suitable for the location, which is near some Grade II listed buildings.
However when the property was built the developers removed a wall that was supposed to be retained, added decking which had not been approved, used the wrong type of windows and added elements which were not on the original plans.
After the breaches were reported to the council planning officers approached the homeowners and it was decided that a new planning application would have to be submitted to either approve the altered plans or rectify them. ....

A development of 133 homes near Falmouth has been granted planning permission despite concerns about plans to narrow a road to create a new footpath.
Barratt David Wilson Homes had applied for full permission to build the new homes on land off Hillhead Road in Budock.
The application went before Cornwall Council’s west sub-area planning committee yesterday for a third time after it was deferred twice by councillors who were concerned about proposals to narrow Kergilliack Road to allow for a new footpath which would serve the development. ....

Plans to convert a former B&B into housing for people needing support with mental health issues have been rejected due to fears over anti-social behaviour.
The Home Group had applied to Cornwall Council to turn the property, Tamarisk in Penmare Terrace, Hayle, into a house of multiple occupation (HMO).
It was planned to use the home to provide supported housing for people with mental health issues, which could also involve dependence on drugs and alcohol.
The plans had attracted objections from local councillors, residents and Hayle Town Council; all said that it was not the right location for such a facility. ....

Truro Pydar Street regeneration plans rejected

The future of a £170 million regeneration scheme for a key site in Truro city centre is up in the air after councillors refused to grant planning permission.
An outline planning application for the Pydar Street regeneration scheme went before the council’s strategic planning committee.
But despite being recommended for approval by planning officers the committee decided to refuse permission over concerns that the development was too large and overbearing and concerns about a loss of parking spaces.
The scheme is being led by Cornwall Council itself through its development company Treveth and has been hailed as one of the biggest and most ambitious schemes the council has ever been involved with. ....
