BY JIM FAIR Ted Lindsay pioneered the founding of the Greer City Recreation Department in 1958 and had been an ambassador for recreation and youth sports almost his entire life. Lindsay helped oversee the construction of two recreation centers, focused on acquiring acreage for park development and formed the first Greer Recreation Association Board in 1965.
