Gadsden City Hall is closed effective immediately, according to a news release from city officials. The release said the closure was “an effort to continue to keep the public and our staff safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.” Gadsden joined Southside, which closed its City Hall earlier this week, and Attalla, which closed its facility last week. Gadsden Public Library changes hours The Gadsden Public Library on Dec. 7 returned to what officials call "normal operating hours," after a period of reduced hours over COVID-19 concerns. Hours of operation are now 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the library’s main branch downtown.
