University of Hawaiʻi President David Lassner notified the Board of Regents and employees by email on Tuesday that he plans to retire at the end of 2024.
Lassner announced his plan to retire in 2024 in a message to the UH Board of Regents on September 19.
In a letter sent today to the UH Board of Regents, Lassner said the lead time will allow for a search for and transition to a successor.
