"I feel like this is the finale of a long journey in education," Jack Milton said
Jack Milton, a 100-year-old veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War this week received the surprise of a lifetime: his long-overdue graduation ceremony.
Jack Milton intended to take the stage at his graduation in 1966 after earning enough credits for his bachelor of arts degree.
John "Jack" Milton, 100, recently received his diploma from the University of Maryland Global Campus, nearly six decades after he was supposed to walk at graduation.
Milton never got to walk for his diploma back in 1966. Instead, he was sent to Vietnam.
