The man who fatally shot Christopher Johnson in 2021 will be committed indefinitely to the Colorado Department of Human Services.

Wallace is accused of punching and seriously injuring Sgt. Scott Crumbaker in late September 2022 after he and  Cpl. Josh Goldschmidt were attempting an undercover operation to remove a court-ordered tracer from a vehicle not registered to Wallace that he was using that day. The vehicle was located near Eighth Street and Boise Avenue in Loveland at the time.

The agreement between the prosecution and defense stipulates that the man take responsibility for the shooting but that he was not sane at the time.

Investigators are concerned there are additional victims and are asking that anyone with information about unreported inappropriate conduct or abuse involving Miller to contact Investigative Sgt. Dylan Miller has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, a class 2 felony; sexual assault of a child from a position of trust, a class 3 felony; unlawful sexual conduct by a peace officer, a class 3 felony; sexual assault, a class 6 felony; official oppression, a class 1 misdemeanor; and first-degree official misconduct, a class 1 misdemeanor.
