A MAN was left fighting for his life in hospital after fire ripped through his Greenock home.

Michael Doherty, who lives in Greenock's Grieve Road, told the Tele how water had been pouring onto his drying green area and over a wall onto slabs at the back of his home for eight years. He complained about Oak Tree Housing Association's handling of the matter and contacted Councillor Tommy McVey for assistance who claims he got no further.
