Long-serving North Yorkshire Scout official dies aged 85
ONE of North Yorkshire’s longest serving members of the scouting family has died aged 85. As a young man Brian Milner was a scout with 1st Richmond Group. During his National Service he became an Assistant Scout Leader in an Army group abroad. Returning to civilian life he became Scout Leader to the 1st Richmond, his wife Brenda joining him as a Cub Leader. Later Mr Milner became the district and appointments secretary.
