It is Memorial Day Weekend -- the unofficial kick-off of summer for most people. There are several activities planned for the holiday weekend.

Last Thursday, I traveled to Charleston, South Carolina, to attend Catholic Leadership Institute's Philanthropy Conference. I gave them an address Thursday night and celebrated Mass on Friday morning for the group. It was very good to see CLI CEO Dan Cellucci and founder Tim Flanagan once again.

This is the same Wellington Road that our councillors deemed safe for the kids of Torry to use to walk to the new Lochside Academy. Now they’re proposing to make cycle lanes, which will give cyclists closer access to dangerous pollutants.
