Dispute led to dairy owner's murder in Gurgaon, two held | Gurgaon News

Gurgaon: Two men were arrested on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 24-year-old dairy owner on New Railway Road.
The crime took place on February 22 and the deceased was identified as Manish, a resident of Basai — who along with his dairy business ran a tempo on New Railway Road, police said.
According to Manish’s father — Budhraj, the duo were planning to go to Sadar Bazar on February 22 to purchase a container and some cattle food.
“Manish dropped me near a temple at Feroz Gandhi Colony on his two-wheeler and went to bring his friend Shivjeet’s SUV,” said Budhraj adding that Manish was about to start the SUV when two youths came near him and fired indiscriminately. “Hearing gunshots, I ran towards Shivjeet’s house and spotted two youths, who were wearing masks, running towards the main road,” said Budhraj adding that he found his son lying in a pool of blood inside the car.

A first in 13 years in NCR: Birders spot winged visitor from Mongolia | Gurgaon News

Gurgaon: A Pied Harrier was spotted by members of Delhi Bird Society on March 25 in Chandu Budhera. This is the second sighting of the species in NCR, after a gap of 13 years, birders said, adding that this migratory bird is rarely seen in this part of the country. It comes from Mongolia, South Korea and Russia.
The last sighting of this species was a male bird in 2008, which was spotted in Hailey Mandi.
“We have just two records of this species in Haryana. It is the first sighting of the female species in the state. These birds don’t travel in pairs. They usually pair to breed,” said Pankaj Gupta, a member of Delhi Bird Society.

Haryana chief minister ML Khattar
CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday presented the state’s budget for the financial year 2021-22.
The chief minister proposed to increase the pension for senior citizens from Rs 2,250 to 2,500 per month.
The budget outlay comprises 25 per cent as capital expenditure of Rs 38,718 crore and 75 per cent as revenue expenditure of Rs 1,16,927 crore.
Rs 45,066 crore has been allocated to the schemes pertaining to sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Our government has worked extensively to make our state prepared to face any such unforeseen event. We worked on improving the health infrastructure in the state, introduced a social protection scheme like Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana and used technology extensively to reach the last man," said Khattar.

'Cow blood, pig parts': Rumours hit vaccine drives in Nuh, Palwal | Gurgaon News

A health worker (L) inoculates a senior citizen with a Covid-19 coronavirus vaccine at a government hospital in Faridabad
GURUGRAM: In letters addressed to the local administration and the chief minister’s office earlier this month, about 50-60 residents in the southern Haryana district of Palwal said they did not wish to take the Covid vaccine. The serum, they feared, contains cow blood, meat or fat.
In Nuh, where inoculation drives have met with resistance in the past too, the health department has been informed of concerns that the vaccine “contains pig parts” and could cause infertility.
The Phase 3 turnout in the two predominantly rural districts has been dismal so far. While Nuh’s turnout is the second lowest in the state, with just 470 people vaccinated, Palwal is at 17th spot among 22 districts, with 1,252 inoculations. According to the 2011 Census, Nuh’s population is 12 lakh while that of Palwal is 10.5 lakh. Either district has a target of over 1 lakh for the ongoing phase.

From today, some flyers to be tested at airport and after 1 week | Gurgaon News

Gurgaon: Screenings and surveillance are back, as are home quarantine rules for flyers.
Beginning Tuesday, passengers returning to Gurgaon and other Haryana districts from countries such as the UK, Brazil, South Africa – where the mutated strains of the novel coronavirus have emerged – as well as European countries and West Asia will have to undergo a compulsory RT(PCR) test at the airport upon arrival. Those who test positive will be admitted to Covid care centres while others will have to strictly home quarantine for seven days, after which the health department will conduct another RT-PCR test.
Earlier, fliers from these countries had to produce a Covid-negative report, not older than 72 hours, before departure. The SOPs for all states were issued by the Union health ministry on February 17 in the wake of a rise in new Covid cases in other countries and some parts of India, including Haryana.
