What Corbyn left behind
A new biography of Sir Keir Starmer by Tom Baldwin recounts the detritus left in the office by Jeremy Corbyn when Starmer replaced him as Labour leader. “There was a CND flag on the wall, a duvet and some half-shredded documents on the floor. Beneath a desk was a printed sign declaring, ‘I’m backing Jeremy because ...’ followed by the handwritten words “... he’s considerate and kind’.” One aide then stepped “in a mound of what appeared to be jelly”. It sounds like a student’s digs.
