Kobi Macharia Dooly, the four-year-old son of an Irish father, was found with fatal knife injuries at an address on Montague Road in Dalston, Hackney on Wednesday night.
Police were called to an address in east London following concerns for the child’s safety.
Keziah Macharia, 41, of Montague Road in Dalston, Hackney, appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court on Friday morning charged with killing her son Kobi Macharia Dooly, four.
Kobi Macharia Dooly was found with knife injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died.
