Punkin' Chuckin': SD Mines Teams Preparing to Squash the Competition
Punkin' Chuckin' is a beloved tradition at Rapid City's Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival, and this year, South Dakota Mines is bringing their inventive spirit to the competition. Teams from the university, including Super Mileage, Steel Bridge, Baja-SAE, and Robotics, are preparing trebuchets to launch pumpkins as far as 300 feet in a bid to squash the competition.
