This year, Nova Scotia’s Tree for Boston is coming from Cape Breton’s Christmas Island. That’s a storyline that writes itself. But this year’s selection is more than just an honour for musician Carmen Townsend and her late mother.
A white spruce from the aptly-named community of Christmas Island, N.S., will be the province’s 51st “Tree for Boston.”
The tree is an annual gift and will be shipped to Boston later this month.
