Spike in opioid-related overdoses sparks alert from health unit

The Grey Bruce region continues to see a number of overdoses as a result of opioids. The health unit says they received reports of six overdoses between last Thursday (20th) and this past Sunday. That prompted the health unit to issue an alert on Sunday and at least three more overdoses have been reported since then. None of them resulted in fatalities but there have been ten reported deaths connected to opioids such as fentanyl and carfentanil.
