Although COVID-19 numbers go down in the area, most schools remain in red zone Each Friday, the Reno County Health Department releases the 14-day PTR (positive test rate) and the 14-day new case average. The data released dictates the gating criteria color Reno County schools follow for the coming week. Although there is a decrease in cases in the county, the area is at a high level compared to when school started in August.  As of Jan. 29, the 14-Day PTR is 17.3%. This is a decrease from last week. Last week's PTR was at 18.9%. The 14-Day New Case number is at 365.
