Madison School District seeks operating, sinking fund millage renewals

From Staff Reports MADISON TWP. — Voters in the Madison School District are being asked to renew the district's operating millage and its sinking fund millage. Voting is Tuesday, May 4, at the Madison Township Hall, 3804 S. Adrian Highway. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The operating millage proposal would renew the millage through 2026 at 19 mills. The school district by law can only levy up to 18 mills, but setting the rate at 19 mills allows for any rollbacks required by the Headlee Amendment to the Michigan Constitution.
