The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's University Belfast will be moving to a new landmark building and will include an exhibition area to display the Seamus Heaney archive held by Queen's.
Established as a centre for excellence in poetry and research as well as being the home of Creative Writing at Queen's, the Seamus Heaney Centre opened its doors at Queen's University Belfast in 2003. As it approaches the 20th anniversary of its official opening, the Centre is moving to a new landmark building.
The reimagined space at the historic, listed buildings, 38 – 40 University Road and 3 Mount Charles, will be just a short walk from the main Lanyon Building at the heart of the Queen’s campus. The new venue represents the next chapter for the Centre
