After another busy weekend of sports, Monday featured only a few sporting events taking place not just within the southwest region of North Dakota, but throughout the entire state. Still, some Class B Region 7 varsity basketball was played along with a Dickinson State collegiate basketball game. In girls varsity basketball, Bowman County traveled to Hettinger-Scranton to take on the Night Hawks. After a close back-and-forth battle, the Night Hawks took advantage of its home court presence and came away with a 57-52 win. The Richardton-Taylor Raiders traveled to New Salem and just fell short of a win with a 32-29 loss. The Heart River Cougars traveled to New England to take on the Tigers and celebrated a 72-55 victory. ....
