The amendments on additional local funds and language on unanticipated cost reserves were requested in an emergency Edgecomb selectmen’s meeting March 25 after it was learned Edgecomb’s school surplus would be about $460,000. On Dec. 14, selectmen discussed holding another referendum-style meeting in May 2021 due to a continuing rise in COVID-19 numbers. Selectmen must decide prior to March 15 in order to meet deadlines for absent ballots.
