Henfield Library to close for roof repairs after leaks
Henfield Library will close its doors for two weeks from August 2. West Sussex County Council said repair work on the building’s roof need to be undertaken as the library has experienced numerous leaks over the past few years. Work will include removing the roof tiles and the existing damaged membrane - a form of underlay that sits underneath the tiles to prevent damp and mould. A new breathable membrane will be fitted to allow trapped vapour and condensation to ventilate from the roof and the tiles will be rehung, replacing any which are damaged.
